I expect fair to good runs of salmon this fall and excellent numbers of browns - all of this being rain dependent of course. Good smelt populations make for fun and predictable spring LL Salmon fishing.
At the intersection, take a right east onto River Road. One nice one threw the hook on a jump. Last year Joe had the hot hand - this year it was all Tom for the most part.

The improvements and new buildings wetre vopened and dedicated April 5, Ron landed a small salmon to start. We had a semi-stubborn bite in the AM but fishing picked up as the day went on.
Six legal fish were landed on the day - one 16" dink and one 29" solid bookended the catch. Swimming is permitted at your own risk. An open air pavilion with electricity is available for public use. They may have been around already, since I haven't been on the lake much, but either way this lake should fish very well here on in. The weather was great with sun and fairly light winds out of the south. We worked a bunch of areas from the north end of the lake down to below Sampson.
Fishing remains pretty good lake-wide. Offshore the amberjack are under siege with the short open season.
